Nashville
Nashville got its first passenger rail line in September 2006, when the Music City Star (now the WeGo Star) commuter train began running. The line heads east about 32 miles from Riverfront station downtown, through suburbs like Donelson, Hermitage, and Mt. Juliet, to Lebanon, with 7 stations, and it is still a single line today. In November 2024 about 65 percent of voters approved the Choose How You Move plan, a sales tax increase that funds frequent bus corridors and new transit centers, along with improvements to the WeGo Star.
